Wine Label Design - Merlot

The above wine label design was created in Adobe In-Design and Illustrator using photographs I took of Dale Chihuly's artwork at the Chihuly Garden and Glass exhibit in Seattle, WA.  This project was inspired by Chihuly's artwork and the intention of the label is to visually communicate flavor.  If Chihuly had not been a fictional client he would be using this label on the wine that would be sold exclusively at The Collections Café that exists at the exhibit.

Logo Design - Old Hat Brewery & Grill

This logo design was made in Adobe Illustrator. The assignment was to create a business logo.

The name "Old Hat Brewery" was inspired by an actual brewery in Lawton, Michigan that closed recently.  I decided to give the place an updated look just for the fun of it.  It has been my inspiration for a Newsletter, a Web Page and an iPad application.

"Merry Black Friday" - Editorial

The above image was created in Adobe Illustrator. The assignment was to create a piece that expresses an opinion about a current issue. 

I feel that this piece can be interpreted in several ways, feel free to do so. However my intention was to convey my dislike for the way Wal-Mart's pursuit to stay out of the red by pushing Black Friday into Thanksgiving has corrupted the holiday season with greed. 

Personal Logo Design

Assignment to create a personal logo. I created this log as a reflection of my name and my personality.  Feel like I was successful in capturing my fun side while also incorporating my love of contrast and the color red.  Overall a very successful design. 

Book Cover Illustration

Assignment to create a book cover.  This book cover is a fully illustrated piece, started off as hand drawn. This was a really fun project.  The story "the Sixth Borough" is an excerpt from the book "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" by Jonathan Safran Foer.  This dust cover actually fits a version of the book itself. 

Newsletter - Old Hat Brewery & Grill

Assignment to create a four page newsletter using business logo design.  The Old Hat Brewery and Grill is a semi-fictitious place.  It was at one time a bar in Lawton, MI but is currently closed.  The name of the bar inspired the logo design and the logo design inspired the newsletter.  The beer glass on the first page, the Facebook logo on the second page, the background image of the graph, and the building are all illustrations. 

Sunglasses Advert

Sunglasses advertisement that I completed for Digital Photography I.  Photos are my original artwork and edited in Adobe Photoshop. "OGI" logos borrowed and edited for the purpose of this assignment only.
