For all my lightning shots what I do is stand out in the rain
with an umbrella during the monsoon season
and set my camera on a tripod
with an extremely slow shutter speed and hope for the best.
I only get at most 10 shots of lightning for every 100 I take.
These are some of my best.

  4. All of these are great shots of lightning, which is hard to photograph. The shape and value of the lines contrast with the clouds, and make the lightning the clear focal point.

  5. Beautiful representations of lines and the rythms found in nature. The lightning creating bursts of white lights and lines across the dark sky, your eyes move from top to bottom and back again to besure you didn't miss any little detail. The clouds produce a sence of movement.
