Mixed Media (book, chalk pastels, ink)
This piece is one of my favorites. It was a present for my best friend who just graduated as an English teacher. I hand carved the book and I drew the rest (background, flourishes, font) and added color to the book.
I think this book is amazing!!! You did such a great job on somthing so challenging!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great piece! I am really amazed at your ability to carve the apple from the center while leaving the borders of the pages. As far as emphasis and shape you really did a great job at carving the apple and coloring the apple to be red. The symbology of the apple and the book are perfect!
